Lately, it seems like the math rock court has been in session, with rules and adherences to follow, lest ye be labeled something entirely different, like “instrumental indie prog.” Which is totally cool by us, for what it’s worth.
Well, before they blow up, let it be known that this new EP from Ontario’s LBCB guilty of literal litany of slanderous riffs – and they’re a really great time.
Make your own verdict below with the blazing first single “lower body chemical burn” below.
It’s like if Piglet, Town Portal, and Tera Melos put their heads together – you can hear a lot of spacious, grand ideas forming, but they’re always grounded in the reality that LBCB is, when it comes down to it, an aggressively fuzzy twosome.
From prog to math to the space punk and everything between, the LBCBEP erupts with ferocious tapped bass lines, blood curdling screams and guitar magic galore in general, so you’re almost sure to find something that you like – so don’t miss out.
Be sure to check out the full LBCBEP here and if you wanna ruin our tiny arteries with caffeine do it here. We love it. Coming up we’ve got Lux, Gallus, Job Creators, and a whole lot more. Thanks for reading!
