To describe the UK underground scene as ‘vibrant’ would be a gross understatement; awash with an insane array of acts and gigs, year upon year it grows and blossoms, constantly spawning awesome new bands and events. Masterminded by the combined forces of northern promoters MADE: PRESENTS and the infamous John Niblock of Black Sheep Agency, the latest addition to the scene is the incredibly exciting Reckoner Festival, a Sheffield all-dayer in October, boasting a seriously, seriously immense lineup.
Headlining are none other than Japanese giants LITE, who bring their gorgeous, intricate math stylings from Tokyo to Sheffield for the first time! They are joined on the lineup by Employed to Serve, a brutal, rising force in the UK hardcore scene; mind-blowing Norwegian duo Aiming for Enrike, whose ridiculously good, loop-based math has been earning them high praise; and proggers The Fierce and the Dead, supporting their acclaimed third record The Euphoric. Also playing Reckoner will be Sheffield natives Body Hound, hyper-melodic instrumental rockers Vasa and boisterous, three-piece metal group Trigger Thumb. Oh, and this is only the first wave; there are more bands yet to come!
Reckoner Festival takes place on October 13th in Sheffield.
Don’t miss out, tickets go on sale June 1st!
