Hello. Hi. Yes. Yes, indeed. A wonderful day. Sorry? Oh, do we seem like we’re a little out of our minds?
That’s because we are – fucking Adebisi Shank is back, baby.
If there was ever a band that wrecked our hearts like an old flame at the announcement their breakup, it was Adebisi Shank. We remember the day we saw that announcement the way we remember a particular national tragedy involving jet fuel and steel beams. We remember that day like the day we heard that Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore were breaking up. Things went from “Trio Always” to “(-_-)” pretty quickly for us after that.
Side note, both of these songs have been used for various alarms on our phones for at least ten years, whether it’s for waking up, going for walks, cooking… any mood can be enhanced by a little shank.
Anyway, now you know – the band hasn’t released anything other than a statement as of press time, but as soon as there’s anything else to talk about, we’ll let you know. For now, revel in the fact that we were alive to see the band come, go, and come again.
May they continue to melt our faces till the Earth explodes.
