A dark, synth-ridden slice of imaginative alt rock, ‘Skin and Fur’, taken from Madilan’s upcoming EP, is a total delight. Vocalist, Scott’s eerie croons weave into the tense, winding instrumentals, all twisting melodies and anxious atmospheres, laid down by the rest of the group, to create a vivid yet wonderfully murky piece of music.
Bristol’s Madilan, now a three piece, are gradually carving out a niche within the UK scene for their fresh, interesting but, nonetheless, reasonably accessible rock, though it’s not been a simple journey thus far, with the band pushing through numerous line-up changes and reinventions to reach their current style. Excitingly, the EP, Skin and Fur, is set for release on April 17th with the group playing a string of shows across the country to support – don’t miss these guys if you can help it!
