ASIWYFA’s music induces an impromptu clapping rhythm from audience

We recently saw And So I Watch You From Afar play the Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds, where we caught this magical moment. During ASIWYFA’s rendition of ‘Set Guitars To Kill, an irregular clapping chant was instigated spontaneously by the crowd. What made this slightly cooler was that ASIWYFA had not enticed or directed this chant; it was devised entirely by the crowd. Rory Friers works with the crowd to craft the claps into a quiet pitter-patter as the band quietened their play before the song’s momentous crescendo. The crowd follows suit with the volume of their claps and, as you’ll see, it is a truly awesome and unrehearsed moment, reflecting the strong connection between musician and audience.
