Don’t Join The Circus is You Break You Buy‘s blazing follow-up to their 2014 debut Happy Happenstance, an album we were proud to stream exclusively back in January.
In their six-track sophomore effort, the London quartet retain their pop-leaning clean-tone melodies and gentle vocals but their execution is a bit more tumultuous, with crunchier guitars, up-beat fusion and bellowing percussion. ‘Infinity Coats’ and ‘Fox Feeder’ are standout tracks, featuring punchy pop hooks interwoven with delicately finger-plucked guitar and bass melodies.
Don’t Join The Circus is overall a positive and feel-good listen, and the interesting dynamics across the four instruments will demand repeated listens.
