If you enjoyed 13.0.0.0.0, the luscious 2013 release by TTNG, here’s your chance to enjoy the music behind the men behind the music. Tim Collis shares with us one of his favourite albums…
‘I’m going to go with Vespertine by Bjork. For me, it’s a really beautiful album; there’s a multitude of diverse sounds including great string arrangements, harps, electronic beats and whirrs and the Icelandic National choir feature throughout too (I think) which is pretty epic. I really love the mix of tonally great instruments (such as the harp on this particular track) with more ambient and electronic stuff and of course her truly mad vocal skills. It’s got a really nice balance across the album in my opinion, being pretty (subtly) technical in parts to very minimal in others. I just find it an incredibly calming album and one I can’t travel without.’
