Predeceased

NEW MUSIC // PREDECEASED SET FIRE TO YOUR SPEAKERS WITH TWO NEW SINGLES

Predeceased is quickly coming up as one of Manchester punk’s most fiery acts, with a penchant for no holds barred, noisy, and cathartic tunes that are impossible to ignore.

After What Do You Do, one of our favorite albums of last year, the band found themselves lauded by, well… us, but also from people like Henry Rollins and the folks at BBC Radio One. Luckily, the accolades didn’t go to their heads, and did nothing to dull their razor-sharp reflections:

“THE NEWS is about willingly ignoring the TV and apps to stop having constant bad news piped into my brain, enforcing the idea of ignorance being bliss while also being embarrassed and ashamed about what higher beings would think of us if they ever visited…”

Check it out below:

If anything, “THE NEWS” and “SUN READER” feel even heavier, even more urgent than what we’ve heard from the band so far.

“… the second verse touches on the idea of the working class having one set of rules while the rich have another. It’s about division and trying to get by in a way where you can stay informed but also stay somewhat happy and not angry at your neighbour.”

If that doesn’t resonate with the people reading this, we don’t know what will.

In March, Predeceased put out a live version of What Do You Do, yet already band is readying material for release later this year. It’s dirty work, but someone’s got to do it, and while Predeceased is doing it, we will take what we can get. Godspeed, punks!
