Last year, the band Yowzah was formed following a cease and desist fiasco with their previous name. You’d never expect someone to be so protective over the trademark name ‘TOAST’, would you?
We loved the TOAST EP, so we have been highly anticipating the new material of Yowzah. We missed them like the deserts miss the rain. It’s been a long time coming but now the band are ready to dish out the goods.
To mark the 3 year anniversary of their TOAST EP, the band have kindly offered for us to host the stream and download of their single ‘Spanana Blitz’, from their upcoming album Eternal Dream. And surprisingly, it appears the name is not the only thing that has changed. ‘Spanana Blitz’ marks the band’s first proper use of vocals, delivered cleanly and often harmoniously. Fans of bands like Postmadonna and Tera Melos will certainly not be disappointed here, ‘Spanana Blitz’ is a track that is riotous and madcap, but also exceptionally catchy and sure to have you incessantly singing ‘pro-cras-ti-na-tion’ until people are ready to punch you in the skull. Guitarist and vocalist Ethan Dillard had this to say…
“We just want to thank all of the people that have continued to support and show patience with us over the last 3 years. We are very excited to finally put this album out for the world to hear and hope to have the opportunity to put out a full-length in the future. Stay toasty.”
Yowzah’s new full length, Eternal Dream, will come out…soon. It’s on the horizon. We can’t say the velocity but it is definitely coming towards us. Stay in touch.
