Lilly Legit – “Another Lite (For The Tropical Knight)”
It’s hard to miss, but we’ll say it anyway. Lilly Legit’s new single with Marc Schmieder is beyond unexpectedly guitar driven and spunky for an act normally associated with emotive progressive piano. But that’s part of what makes it work, and with audible levels of new excitement it’s almost unfairly contagious. – MW

Serotonin – “Last Words”
It’s been over twenty years since the world heard from Serotonin, but it doesn’t take more than a few seconds for the band to let you know their post-hardcore magic’s far from gone. The Tennessee trio’s beautifully angular, effortlessly emotive sound remains a force to be reckoned with, and their new single “Last Words” hits like the 2000’s emo song you’ve been missing in your life, except it didn’t actually exist – until now. – MW

Living Weapon – “The Leaving Process”
Straightforward, no bullshit hardcore that performs exactly as advertised. The song has a lot in common receptively with Limp Bizkit‘s “Break Stuff”, but will hopefully leave listeners with more drywall. – HL
FFO: Knocked Loose, Bury Your Dead
Ritual Error – “New Slime”
This hard-and-glossy as broken nails noise punk shindig incessantly drills into your eardrums, but it sounds great the whole time. “New Slime” struts like a Dead Kennedy’s tribute by way of Unwound or Drive Like Jehu, but with an even darker sheen we can’t wait to hear more of once Terminal With Benefits comes out this September. 1876 – “Ndneyes”
1876’s mastermind, Mr. Stealyourgirlsomehorses wrote on social media that that this was the most proud of any single he has released, and it is frankly very easy to see why. “NDNEYES” is an absolute hype beast epic full of feeling and narrative, extending into corrido in the song’s final section. This is a band that truly has to be heard at all costs. – HL

Sleep In. – “It’s All Ratfucked”
Listen, we were completely done and trying to get back to watching Dimension 20 as soon as possible, but then we saw a song called “It’s All Ratfucked” in the math rock section of Bandcamp. Not only that, it rocks like the best of old pop punk without dipping into tropes. It sounds like fun, but most importantly it sounds like real fun. – MW
