Three months ago, Ronnie, Donnie, and Johnny showed up in our Meta feeds, and at first we thought it was just some kind of joke. Not a pointless one, just an excessive, relentless display that might not actually be a band outside of social media. And we loved it.
But like most good jokes, it turned out we only thought it was so awesome because these guys were so… well, true. With the release of George’s Bush, this insane trio of mathcore maestros deliver on the promise of Aura Farming Simulator, which we’d like to point out only came out about three months ago, and both are undeniable bit-seized rippers.
Still, we were wrong. Far more than a bit for socials, George’s Bush sees these whammy extremists put down the instruments in favor of possessing a legion of malfunctioning construction tools, and our skull can’t possibly get enough.
In a world that often feels like an endless sick joke, Ronnie Donnie and Johnny hit the nail on the head, and somehow manage to do so while having fun. They keep things instrumental outside of a few well placed sampled (we totally forgot George W. Bush Jr. ever said that in “IT’D BE HARD TO SURVIVE A GATLING GUN”) and overall we think Ronnie, Donnie, and Johnny made the right choice.
We bitch a lot about music that feels like it isn’t saying anything, but the band’s message is clear here and we’re all about it. They want that Bush bloodline out of office. Just kidding but not really. We can’t tell anymore, and in that way we know vocals would probably be a lot of fun for a project like this, but they’re tearing it up without them and it’s possible words would just muddy the magic. It’s perfect as is.
