EXCLUSIVE // EXPERIMENT WITH PAVLOV’S BELL AND THIS EXCLUSIVE CUT FROM PHYSICS ISN’T FAIR

This Friday, Pavlov’s Bell drop one of the hottest EP’s of the summer with Physics Isn’t Fair, but we don’t just say that because it’s jam packed with fiery, fluorescent nuggets in terms of the songs themselves.

Obviously it is, but the record exudes an almost thermal energy, turning speakers and headphones into real-time crucibles of sound. Physics Isn’t Fair is groovy, gridded, and full of surprises, so of course we are beyond stoked to premier the science rock trio’s last single ahead of the EP’s full release July 18th.

Check out “The Thing” below:

“The Thing” plays in interesting role in the grand scheme of the EP’s short but ambitious concept, and also makes for an interesting intro if you haven’t heard “Do the Nonagon,” the EP’s mischievous first single – when we say gridded, “The Thing” is more what we mean. There’s a clear set of rules and variables, with each deviation highly scrutinized. But erratic changeups aren’t the main focus, it’s the way they fill in said grid with sparkling, pulsating bits of life, emblematic of the EP’s trippy secret sauce.

If you’re a fan of the esoteric, experimental side of ArcTanGent adjacent bands like Three Trapped Tigers, Town Portal, and Poly-math, but somehow you haven’t gotten into Pavlov’s Bell, there’s no time like the present. Get in the lab this instant, and be sure to check out the EP in it’s entirety here this Friday.

Once it’s out, we’ll publish a behind-the-scenes interview we did with the boys a couple weeks ago that fleshes out some of the concepts and details, so keeps your peepers peeled for that too!
