Depression manifests itself in many ways. Whether diagnosed or not it is a very real and debilitating disease that is nearly impossible to accurately describe to those who are unafflicted. Fortunately there is one outlet that humans have used for thousands of years that portrays these types of intangible emotions: art.
Save Us From The Archon are the sort of dudes I'd want to talk shop with over a cold one. Not only is their music as beautiful as the orgasm of gods, but it is their ostensible appreciation of film and literature that really grabs me (something that is, rather surprisingly, glossed over by the general press).
It is no surprise that Save Us From The Archon's is a fiery blaze of instrumental post-hardcore with complex melodic riffs and interwoven dreamy interludes. So I'm going to go straight to their ostensible love of film, as I am constantly wont to do.
