Yes Bear, a emo-revival ball of wizardry.
The much-talked-about-emo revival which we may or may not be having has certainly not passed over math rock without influence. One of my personal favourites in this new wave are Vancouverites Yes Bear, a three-piece whose 2013 EP ITEMS caught our ears with it’s catchy hooks and multi-vocal lines.
If you loved that last EP, I’m sure you’ll be glad to hear that you’ll finally be able to get another hit of mathy goodness, and this time in the form of a full release. And we’re thrilled to be able to bring you a small appetiser of the larger meal. ‘Unfold’ is the first single from their upcoming album, DAMMIT, which will release on 28th February on Tetra Records, and it does everything I was hoping for.
